Teachers employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) at some point may find themselves in a situation where they need to transfer from one station to another and as a result ,they should request for transfer allowance.
Teacher transfer allowance from one station to another account can be initiated either by the teacher or by the commission itself.
When the teacher’s employer (TSC) initiates a transfer,the teacher is eligible for the TSC transfer allowance which assists the with settling expenses into new station.
The allowance is designed to cushion teachers as they adjust to their new work stations.
It is specifically paid to those teachers who are also transferred outside their sub-counties.
The amount of Transfer Allowance and Eligibility
The mount of transfer allowance paid to a teacher is equivalent to one month’s basic salary of that teacher .

Filling of the Form
It is important to ensure that the form is completely as expected and signed by both specific teacher and the head institution, and is stamped
Attachment the Casualty Return
Head of institution will has to attach the casualty return to the form before forwarding it to employer.
Submission of the Form
Upon complete teachers filling of the transfer Form, let it be be forwarded to TSC for further action through the head of institution who is responsible for sending the form to TSC to effect the allowance.
Making a follow Up
Upon realizing that your transfer allowance is not effected in good time , make a follow up with TSC by either contacting the TSC sub-county or county director.
