The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) teacher exit from service refers to the methods through which a teacher can be removed from the register.

Some of the methods that are recognized by the commission include;

TSC teacher Voluntary retirement

Thus type of exit teachers upon attainment of 50 years and on completion of 10 years continuous service on Permanent and Pensionable terms.

2. TSC teacher exit /Retirement on medical grounds

TSC provides fir a teacher to apply to retire or exit on medical grounds and after attaching supportive medical documents.
Teachers exiting service under this circumstance qualify for lump sum and monthly Pension.

3. TSC teacher exit through Resignation

A permanent and pensionable teacher employ can resign from service after giving three months’ notice in writing .

This type of resignation will not attract any pension benefits but only the male teachers who resigns or get  dismissed from service are entitled to WCPS upon writing claim for the refund.

4. TSC teacher exit through Resignation on marriage grounds

This provides for married female teacher who have served for a minimum of period of five (5) years under P&P terms to resign on account of marriage.

This teacher benefits from a marriage gratuity paid at a rate of 1/12 of a month’s pensionable emoluments.

5. Teacher exit through termination of service

A teacher serving on temporary or probationary terms may have service be terminated by either the Commission or the teacher.

Under this exit, male teachers who were  contributors to WCPS qualify for a refund of the amounts contributed.

6. TSC exit through Death gratuity

This simply means teacher removal upon death and dependants of a teacher are entitled to Death Gratuity .

The Dependants Pension is given too if the teacher was serving on Permanent and Pensionable terms

7.TSC teacher Release to other organizations

This exit is effected to a teacher has been appointed to a Public Institution or Teachers Union as well as  non-profit making educational institution or Parastatal.

8. Exit through Transfer of service

This occurs to a teacher who secures opportunity at the Public Service Commission whose service with the Commission is transferred to the new Ministry.

9. Teachers exit through Compulsory Retirement

The exit applies to teachers who have attained 60 years.

They are normally with retirement not  two years before the date of retirement.
