Teachers Service Commission (TSC) ensures staff balancing in schools through various ways among them effecting teacher transfer from one institution to another.
Normally, the commission transfers a teacher either same level grade as well as higher position grade .
In addition, the teacher transfers could be to a school within the same county,a school in sub-county or otherwise.
Normally , teacher transfers are initiated by the TSC or could be the school head or at some point the individual teacher.

Under this circumstance which may be initiated by the teacher or the commission itself,TSC approves the transfer without considering duration of service.
Transfer based on circumstances .
Under circumstances that may be considered by the employer, the commission can effect transfer immediately.
Before a teachers get transfer to another school , the school head must issue a RELEASE LETTER and the commission also has to release TRANSFER FORM to make the process official.
The head of the institution has powers to object against the transfer to the TSC just incase the transfer has untold consequences for the institution.
