Several teachers , with reasons normally wish to move from one station to another but the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has set some aspects that it considers relevant for immediate approval of the transfer request.
In an event where the teacher seeks to have inter-county transfer requests,the commission has done an analysis of some specific details to use,more particularly for teachers that are delocalized.
Most importantly, TSC gives priority to staff balance in each subcounty before approving transfer so as to avoid creating a significant at the expense of meeting the demand for delocalized teachers.
Important areas TSC considers for teacher transfer approval
Earlier, the teachers over 56 years plus were not legible for seeking transfer out of the area of their work stations but after review now transfer requests of teachers above 50 years and older are authorized instantly more especially on cases of delocalization.
Health status of a teacher
For the teachers who have terminal illnesses documents as evidence, TSC considers their to transfer requests immediately.
Some of the conditions high blood pressure and diabetes once they become chronic, the affected teachers will have their transfers prioritized.
However, approval on this depends on submission of clear supporting medical documentation, valid evidence of availability and others.
Teachers with different abilities
Previously, those teachers with different abilities that were previously exempted from transfers beyond their sub-county, they are currently given priority when applying for transfers as well.
The commission began addressing family matters an important aspect this started relocating delocalized teachers back families or homes
According to TSC, teachers have a right to make a request for this transfer .

Note that there must be a marriage certificate or an affidavit as proof of marriage before the transfer gets approval.
Duration of stay
Under regular areas, a teacher must finish 5 years before seeking for a transfer, means approval comes after the 5 years since date of appointment.
This means that transfer approval can not be done for a teacher who has served at a station less than three (3) years .
