Teachers are eagerly waiting for the 2024 July phase 2 Salary increment as part of the final 2024/2025 CBA agreement after the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) made a formal promise to teachers.
July 2024 Pay rise follows a much-anticipated promise that will see thousands of teachers benefit from packages and this is expected to relieve them during this economic time.
Teachers salary increment is part of the government’s commitment towards ensuring that well being of educators and acknowledging their essential contributions to society .
The recent salary adjustments agreement is as a result fo a number of variables among them inflation rates, high cost of living indices as well as the general economic conditions.
However, according to TSC boss, dr.nancy Macharia , teacher salary increment is as a result of long-standing competitiveness and suitability of teachers’ benefit packages.
