TSC Listed 2 Sets of Teachers to Start Term 2, 2024 in New Schools

As schools close for the first term on 5th April 2024, to most teachers this may be their last term of serve in their current centres or institutions for there are expected changes in term 2 as schools reopen.

As promised by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC ) a total of 6,000 teachers currently that have been serving in primary schools are expected to get deployment to junior secondary starting, next term, May term 2 of 2024.

Following the closure of the applications portal on 18th March 2024, teachers who applied for deployment are now waiting for official announcement from TSC on interviews dates and documents verification within this April holiday.

However, depending on the criteria that will be applied, some teachers may be retained in their current schools but now they will be handling learners in junior secondary.

The second category of teachers who are expecting to have change of their institutions are those who were successful during the recently released teacher promotions results.

According to TSC , over 36,000 teachers got promotions and they are currently receiving letters that will see some move to administrative positions.

With such promotions, a good number of teachers may get transfers on promotions from their current stations to other stations as the second term starts.

Again, some teachers who got promotions on job groups  may be retained in their current stations but their salary will increased.
