Machogu Announces Start of 20,000 new Teachers Employment

The Cabinet Secretary under the Ministry of Education Ezekiel Machogu has announced plans to have new employment of more teachers .

Speaking on wednesday  3rd at Kolanya Girl’s National School,the Cs Machogu indicates that the government is making efforts to improve the teacher-student ratio that is currently a challenge.

Revealing the government plans , the CS said that 20,000 teachers in the current financial year will be employed so as to address the shortage and improve the teacher-student ratio

Praising the Kenya kwanza government, Machogu highlighted the high number of teachers hired under president Ruto’s tenure.

He indicated that a tot of 56,750 new  teachers have been employed to ensure smooth operations in schools since the president took office.

Machogu appreciated government efforts to improve the education sector as well as the ministry’s dedication to providing quality education.

According to machogu, the government has also set aside enough funds that will see employment of new teacher recruits who have graduated and are ready to work under teachers service commission.

During the next expected new recruitments , TSC will require teachers to make the following documents;

  • A valid TSC registration number
  • Clear copies of KCSE and kcpe certificates
  • Clear copies of professionals Certificates, degree or Diploma
  • Clear copy of identification card
  • Certificate of good Conduct among others.
