All Teachers,grade 8 pupils directed to attend sh2500 Digital Course

All teachers, the TSC secretariat Staff  and Grade 8 pupils have been asked to  consider enrolling for a digital skills course as per to the Teachers Service Commission , in a circular dated March 26, 2024.

This course is to be offered by the Ministry of Education at a cost of Ksh2,500 per person as outlined in the TSC circular.

TSC indicates that this training is part of the implementation of Kenya’s National Digital Master Plan 2022-2032 , which is meant to influence growth of digital skills for the citizens in the country.

This training require payment to Ksh2,500 (self sponsorship) per person for one to be taken through basic digital skills and after the training there will be an assessment and a certificate  will be issued by the Government.

All the regional directors,the TSC  county directors and also  TSC sub-county directors were directed in the circular to ensure that details  contained in the document are delivered to all teachers in their areas of service.

The ICT ministry is currently seeking to train over 20 million Kenyans under the program for digital skills and capacity to effectively ensure that there is easy access and utilization of Government e-services.

under Phase 1 category of the program, teachers and grade 8 pupils will be part of the 5 million citizens will be trained in the recommendation digital skills course.

Various ICT organisations drawn from both the public and private sectors,the  NGOs and other accredited training institutions will be facilitating the training across the country.
