Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has announced new changes in the upcoming nationwide recruitment of new officers for the exercise that was earlier slated for between April 15 and April 19 ,2024.
According to the new notice that was released on Tuesday, April 2, KWS explained changes in Venues that will see two counties affected.
These counties with new recruitment Venues are Uasin Gishu county and Narok County.
As per to the notice, Uasin Gishu,that had earlier indicated to have the recruitment venue at the 64 Stadium has now changed to Kipchoge Keino Stadium.
The service decided the vacancies divided into two, one for 150 cadets and another for 1,350 rangers for who will be engaged in a specialized training before deployment to various centres.
Requirements for recruitment
Under ranger position, the applicants should be Kenyan citizens with an identification card or passport.
They are also required to have scored a minimum of D (plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination .

They should also be aged between 18 and 26 years as well as having physical and medical fitness.
They should have no criminal record and also demonstrate readiness to undergo a 6-month paramilitary training.
