Several schools have planned to have closing dates earlier for April holiday as the first term comes to an end in the next one week .
Most Secondary schools will release learners this week ahead of two public holidays , Good Friday and Easter Monday next week.
However,the Ministry of Education Calender indicate that schools are officially supposed to have closing dates on 5th April 2024 .
Closure of schools before Friday this week, 29th March instead of Friday next week will be a breach of the ministry of education Calender guidelines as action may be taken for those who are found culpable.
However,most school principals and headteachers of secondary schools are rushing to close have earlier closure of schools following delay of government funds that were expected to released to schools.
Other details indicate that majority of primary schools will be closing on Wednesday next week as others have scheduled their closure on Thursday and Friday next week.
There has been a serious outcry from mist school administrators over continuous strain to meet food, electricity, water among other costs.
This is because, the first term saw the government sending twenty five percent of first term capitation instead of the required fifty percent.

The Christians community will celebrate Good Friday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death too.
This will be followed by Easter Sunday marking the resurrection of resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Then on Monday, 1st April it will be public holiday in Kenya marking second Easter celebration.
