KUCCPS to Give Students Third Chance to Submit Courses , 2024

 Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced that students will get a third chance of making applications for different courses through the 2024  placement portal.

Kuccps made announcement on its application portal being closed as of  March 4 ,2024 deadline.

While the portal was open during the application period that had two extensions,a series of challenges were reported by for making some unable to finalize their applications for placement.

After first failure KUCCPS application portal opened another opportunity to apply is  for those who missed during the first revision of choices.

Kuccps however ha not confirmed specific dates for the revision of courses but an  assurance has been given that updates would be communicated regarding the portal  reopening.p

Kuccps had its portal  opened on February 8 for the first time which it also had set to close on February 22.

Unfortunately, after several challenges in selection and payment processes became a concern,kuccps deadline was extended to February 26.

Even after these  adjustments, severe issues led Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu to extend the deadline further to March 4.

During the application period, there were several Complaints from affected parents and students which claimed that   payment processing delays was a major tragedy in the application process.

Also upon noticing the delays, Education CS Ezekiel Machogu emphasized the Ministry’s awareness of the challenges, leading  to the second extension.

It is true that applicants had experienced challenges, the Ministry has so far taken note of the challenges that some students have faced in the ongoing application process thus willingness to address the same.

In the sense that the exact number of applicants is undisclosed, kuccps placement portal anticipated around 171,738 applications for courses 2024 ,this represents  86%.

The percentage above indicates that  candidates who scored C+ and above in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination,when comparing it to the  previous application .
