Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced that students will get a third chance of making applications for different courses through the 2024 placement portal.
Kuccps made announcement on its application portal being closed as of March 4 ,2024 deadline.
While the portal was open during the application period that had two extensions,a series of challenges were reported by for making some unable to finalize their applications for placement.
After first failure KUCCPS application portal opened another opportunity to apply is for those who missed during the first revision of choices.
Kuccps however ha not confirmed specific dates for the revision of courses but an assurance has been given that updates would be communicated regarding the portal reopening.p
Kuccps had its portal opened on February 8 for the first time which it also had set to close on February 22.
Unfortunately, after several challenges in selection and payment processes became a concern,kuccps deadline was extended to February 26.
Even after these adjustments, severe issues led Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu to extend the deadline further to March 4.
During the application period, there were several Complaints from affected parents and students which claimed that payment processing delays was a major tragedy in the application process.
Also upon noticing the delays, Education CS Ezekiel Machogu emphasized the Ministry’s awareness of the challenges, leading to the second extension.

It is true that applicants had experienced challenges, the Ministry has so far taken note of the challenges that some students have faced in the ongoing application process thus willingness to address the same.
In the sense that the exact number of applicants is undisclosed, kuccps placement portal anticipated around 171,738 applications for courses 2024 ,this represents 86%.
The percentage above indicates that candidates who scored C+ and above in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination,when comparing it to the previous application .
Kucccp is giving out a third chance to students to apply yet many a student have not even received a university

I’m a host who I’ve been applying for Kmtc courses for more than 6 rounds now. And I qualify for those courses, but until today I’ve never been selected. Everytime they tell me ” application was unsuccessful ” please I need help. Some of us come from very humble background and education is our ONLY way out of it.

When this third chance should be deadline
When exactly is KUCCPS expected to announce the third chance since the previous attempt has proved futile despite being qualified.Kindly shed some light on this.I’m a concerned guardian asking on behalf of my younger sibling.
Kmtc application has a serious issue. We only need to be told what is the procedure other than the kuccps portal!
Why do you tell program that someone applied for does not exist or offered yet was in choices list what’s wrong with nursing

Some of us made double payments which we have followed in vain
KMTC as a a serious issue that need to be addressed. I applied for my son a program he is qualified for but received a regret message on Monday. What am I supposed to do to secure him an admission ?
And what about revision of courses?
The said re-opening of the application portal needs to be announced promptly to query the anxiety of those affected.
Those responsible must understand that this is a matter affecting very many people and addressing it at the earliest opportunity is part of their job description.
When is kuccps reopening the third session for those who missed out on their courses selections … Especially KMTC is very disappointing I don’t understand why advertise wrong codes/clusters that doesn’t exists on students portal. This is like burrying someone’s dreams

Am one of the candidates who sat for kcse last year and scored c+. I have not been able to select the course through kucpps. When is the third revision being done?
Kuccps should release the third chance so that they can announce the schools and courses one has been placed this month tuh for our anxiety to reduce so that the remaining months from may to august someone can prepare well
