After Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has acknowledged that there were some errors in the recently released teacher promotion list, a way forward has been drafted to address the same.
As per to the TSC officials, notable errors experienced in the Promotions list should be taken as common in mass promotional exercises and as a result ,this does not compromise the TSC integrity.
The recently unveiled comprehensive 724-page document on TSC website, detailing the promotion of 36,505 teachers is a clear picture based on interviews that conducted in December and January of this year.
The commission played a key role with major efforts later to realize that some stakeholders within the education sector are still skeptical about the credibility of the published results.
As a result, all the teachers among them those who are awaiting promotion are advised to await official TSC promotion letters, which is the only mode expected to address any noted discrepancies.
TSC move that saw it not to publish the names of promoted teachers alongside their respective counties and sub-counties to foster transparency and trust in the process has faced a lot of criticism from teachers’ education unions like Knut and Kuppet urge terming the promotion list to be having errors.

Regret letters will also be printed and issued to unsuccessful teachers as a means of confirming their participation and interview attendance.
The current successful teachers had attended promotion interviews in December for primary school teachers and others attended from January 2024 interviews for Secondary school and Teacher Training College tutors.
The turnout marked a great history as more than one hundred and fifty thousand teachers shortlisted by the employer.
In the first instance let’s acknowledge and appreciate the move made KNUT in teachers promotions. The through KNUT branch officials let any aggrieved teacher complain having gone through promotion letter
For insurance a P1 teacher who attained his/her degree in any recognized university 2016, raise a complain that I cannot be promoted from C1 TO C2, for immediately I graduated the promotion was to be effected. Having delayed I can only be on C3 or C4 with salary and subsequent salary worked upon not loose any money.
I was not satisfied by the interview because the panelists did not look at my certificates and my name’s missed even though I have served in job group L( c3) since 2012
How can a subcounty of more than a 1000 teachers receive just 3 latters to administrative posts.for sure that was not an interview
