TSC category of promoted teachers be Posted Outside Subcounty

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) will start issuing promotion letters to the teachers who were successfully promoted following interviews done in December and January.

In a list of 724 pages that is published on TSC website, teachers TSC numbers and the applied advert numbers for all successful teachers.

Those who attended interviews but were unsuccessful will also be issued with regret letters serving  as evidence for  attendance during interview. These letters will be considered during the next interview.

As revealed from trusted sources,a good number of teachers promoted to administrative positions among them the to deputy and headteacher positions, they  will be posted outside their sub counties but within the same working county.

Equally , the source has revealed that those promoted to senior teacher positions are to be posted in schools which have vacancies within their sub counties.

On the other hand, teachers  that have been serving under acting capacity and confirmed are expected to be retained in the schools where they have been acting roles.

As contained in the TSC advert , the 36,505 successful teachers that will be awarded promotional letters should have to submit the mandatory five of Chapter six documents.

The documents proves the teacher’s ability on leadership and integrity to hold a public office.

As a result, the teachers collection promotions letters should present a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) going at 1,050, present a Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) which is given Free after application and also a tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) which is also issued Free of charge.

The other two importantly documents include the Clearance from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) given Free and also present a clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)  that costs ksh.2,200.

TSC held interviews for primary school teachers from 4th to 15th December 2023 (last Year).

Their counterparts in secondary school teachers and Teacher Training College (TTC) tutors had theirs running from 3rd to 16th January 2024.

After the results release, several teachers have got disappointment with after TSC published a list of those successful, terming the promotions were unfair.

The teachers claim that  junior teachers were promoted  by TSC while  seniors that  have served for several years never got any.
