The Teachers Service Commission TSC has issued teachers trained in one Teaching Subject requirements for registration under the current Competence Based Curriculum (CBC).
According to TSC , the teachers under this category having a Bachelor of Education degree are required to have scored at least C+ and above in KCSE , with another C+ and above the teaching subject .
These teachers are also required to have a C in English and D+ in Mathematics.
Those trained with either a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree , thy must have scored a C+ in KCSE,with another C+ in the teaching subject.
These teachers must also have a Postgraduate diploma in education.
At the same time ,those teachers with a Diploma in Education must have scored a minimum general C and also C+ in teaching subjects.
Those have a Diploma in a subject offered at the junior and senior school level also can register
TSC Essential Documents for new Teacher Registration
Inorder to have your application successfully complete during the registration process, an individuals applicants is required to scan and upload the following documents:
- Certified clear Copies of Academic and Professional Certificates
These certificates serve as evidence of your qualifications.
- Copy National Identity Card
Ensure you submitting a clear copy of your national identity card for clear identification purposes.
- Valid Bank Slip
Attach a clear copy of the bank slip confirming the non-refundable registration fee payment.
- Clear Passport Size Photo
Ensure you upload your most recent passport size photo to be used in the registration certificate.
- KRA Pin copy
This is for taxation purposes.
- Clear GP69 Form
The form should serves as a medical examination report.
- Give a Certificate of Good Conduct
It acts as a testament to your ethical standing.
- Necessary Entry and Work Permits (for non-Kenyans)

9.Registration Fees
For every new registrations,non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1050/- is needed
