TSC Scraps Degree Requirement for teachers to Apply in job Advert

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC )on Tuesday announced that it scrapped Education degree requirement for advertised representative job at the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC).

In a public notice published released  on Tuesday, TSC  introduced a general degree as a condition.

As a result, now any university qualification is legible apply for the slot without being limited to only having a bachelor of Education degree.

TSC has also r viewed the same advert on 27 calling for applications from graduate teachers only, locking out thousands of other degree holders.

In the most recent  revision contained issued on t March 5th, 2024  , it is clear  that one doesn’t need to be a graduate teacher requirement to represent TSC at the SRC table.

As a result , TSC now has re-advertisement the job and extended the window for applications from March 7 to March 25, 2024.

According to TSC , qualifications TSC representative at the SRC remain the same without specific degree requirement.

One needs to have 10 year’s experience in matters related to finance and administration and public management and Economics.

In addition, the applicant should  include  experience in Human Resource Management and knowledge of Labour laws.

TSC  further indicates that those who should  not qualify include a state officer like MPs,the  MCAs and also if one is a member of a governing council of a political party.

Applicants must also meet  meet the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution with a distinguished career in their field.

Successful nominee must not have been victims  to removal from office for contravening provisions of the constitution or any law.

Finally , the candidates are required to have their academic qualifications and testimonial as well as a  two-page curriculum vitae as well.
