KUCCPS Extends Application Deadline Further, Guides on Payments

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has extended  extended the application deadline for courses for the second time following persistent  portal errors.

On Sunday 25th, Kuccps issued a notice indicating that it was extending the application period until all students eligible have made their applications.

Earlier , Kuccps had set the application deadline for Monday, February 26,2024.

According to a notice from kuccps,the application deadline that was was set for February 26,has been extended until KUCCPS ascertains that all targeted students have applied

Kuccps has further asked students to be keen so as to avoid double payments saying that verification process takes longer time. This is because the government moved all its paybill services to a single number.

Kuccps  indicated that the government ordered for payments through the eCitizen platform, saying that the process of payment validation for the KUCCPS application is longer than before.

The placement service has said that the  processing of applications for placement will start once KUCCPS is sure all applicants have submitted their course choices.
Kuccps has assured students that no one will be disadvantaged on the basis of the day or time they made their applications.

KUCCPS has also announced that after the first placement exercise,it will conduct two revision opportunities .

The revision opportunities will be provided for students who will not have applied, or those who will not have secured their selected courses, to reapply.

KUCCPS CEO DrMercy Wahome  has also assured students in a statement that all students would be placed in institutions of higher learning and extended the duration to February 26.

She noted that  all those seeking training opportunities through the KUCCPS portal, there will be no one who will be left behind.

Students and parents have asked that the placement portal to work on the system that is now working as expected causing delays.
