TSC has issued a message the directors of the County and Sub-County, demanding for information about the details of teachers in job groups C4 and C5 who are are currently not involved in administration positions.
Those teachers in C4 and C5,that are so far not acting as school heads or school deputy heads have been asked to submit their details through their school headteachers of institutions .
The teachers employer intends to send promotion letters to classroom teachers, teachers who are in job groups C4 and C5.
The commission is planning to promote them as deputy HeadTeachers and deputy headteachers respectively.
This is in a move to address the large number of school headteachers and school deputy HeadTeachers leaving the teaching profession.
About 2,400 headteachers retired in December 2023 leaving vacant positions.
As a result, tsc is expected to take a quick since it has been revealed it will send promotion letters to teachers who meet the requirements in March this year.
The course further reveal that a large number of classroom teachers in these job groupings have already received promotions to headteacher and deputy headteacher positions.
The commission is likely to reduce the cost of paying more for school administration by elevating the classroom teachers working in these job categories.

On the other hand, those teachers who participated in promotion interviews last year are eagerly waiting for the outcome of their interviews.
The teachers in primary schools attended the promotion interview in December 2023 whereas others attended secondary school interviews in January 2024 for secondary teachers.
Over 100,000 teachers were shortlisted by TSC to compete for the 36,505 promotional position slots .
