There is a serious anxiety among primary school teachers who are waiting results after they attended TSC promotions interview in December of last year.
Several of them have wondered why the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is taking so long to release the results.
Some sources close to the Commission have confirmed headquarters that TSC has not yet released the list of chosen applicants.
The source has revealed that since the commission now want to consider more than simply the candidates’ interview scores, the exercise is processing the results and this might take longer than anticipated.
The commission is also checks on the discipline history as one of the factors considered.
In addition , verification of the Teacher Performance Appraisal and Development (TPAD) as well as ratings are among the tedious exercise to be conducted.
According to the source , it is expected that by April of this year, all the interview results may be made available to the public.
This will enable the stations to assign the chosen candidates to the proper roles.
TSC advertised 36,053 posts that were posted in August of last year,in which, TSC conducted three phases of promotional interviews.
During the first phase, TSC focused on promoting Grades C1 through C5 in elementary schools,that was was done at the sub-county level from December 4 to December 15, 2023.
In addition , the T-scale 9 conventional primary schools had 1,930 openings which were slated for Deputy Headteacher II promotions.
Other vacancy declared include the headteacher at Special Needs Primary School T-Scale 10, that had 1,049 spots and plus other 30 roles up for grabs, respectively.
The commission further soughts to fill 10,819 and 700 Senior Teacher II positions which are at T-scale 7 in both normal and SNE Primary schools.
The teachers employer recently concluded second phase of interviews, that took place between January 4 and January 16, 2024.

TSC interviews were majorly on post-primary teachers, the teachers who are aiming to advance to the county level in grades C3 to D1 job levels.
In addition, TSC declared promotions interview for Deputy Principal III at T-scale 11 and Senior Master III in Regular Secondary Schools, in which 1,137 positions needed to be filled and also are waiting for results of the same.
