The Teachers Service Commission TSC has issued advice to teachers who took part in promotions interviews were that conducted in last year.
This is comes a time when several concerns on the postponement of the earlier announcement of the December interview results have been tabled by primary school teacher .
The concerns are on the promotion status currently at TSC in 2024.
Some sources indicate that TSC is compelled by the lengthy review procedure, a procedure that includes verification of Teacher Performance Appraisal and Development (TPAD) evaluations .
It has also revealed that there are other variables in addition to interview scores, resulting to the experienced delay.
Equally, it has been revealed that the processing time has been prolonged because there are more than 36,000 files to review.
As a result, it has been stated that by April, there are high chances of interview results being made public, thus enabling responsibilities to be given to the chosen individuals.
During interviews, TSC targeted various grades and levels, with three rounds of interviews being done to fill positions left vacant by promotions.
The recently concluded promotions were involved post-primary and primary teachers that had interest to transition into different job groups.
TSC focus of the third phase, that is now slated for February, is targeting the post-primary administrators who want to be promoted to higher grades.
Under the current conventional secondary schools, TSC opened posts range from deputy headteacher to chief principal.
The interviews which were conducted during December left quite a number of teachers out especially those who have stayed for along time in one job group. The announcement did not reach them on time.Do you ;ntend to conduct another interview on the same.
Affected teacher.
