Ministry of Education releases 2024 New school dates

The government through the ministry of Education has released 2024 school dates for pre-primary, primary and secondary schools .

Term one 2024 will have a 13-week first term and half term scheduled for 3 days slated on  29^th February and 3^rd March, 2024.

In this first term, all the learners will proceed for holiday on 8^th April, 2024 to 26^th April, 2024.

Second term will run for 14 weeks,also  starting on 29^th April to 2^nd August 2024 .

There will be another half term set for 20^th to 23^rd August, 2024.

Term three will be the shortest with only 9 weeks starting on 26^th August to 25^th October, 2024.

All the learners will then break for December holidays for another  one and half months duration and resume on 3^rd January, 2025.

During the third term, Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and Kenya Intermediate Education Assessment (KILEA) examinations will be conducted between 28^th October to 31^st October, 2024.

In addition , the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations will follow from  4^th November to 22^nd , 2024 to November, 2024.

The ministry calendar also stipulated that the  teachers’ training colleges will kick off the first term on 8^th January and end  on 5^th April, 2024 .

This level  will then head on holidays from 8^th to 26^th April 2024.

According to Ministry,Term two school dates will begin on 29^th April to 2^nd August 2024 as the final term for them  will begin on 26^th August to 8^th November, 2024 as well.
