Based in the latest survey, University of Nairobi is now ranked top and best Universities in Kenya and takes position 6 in the continent of Africa as well.
The second position is taken by Kenyatta University which takes position 28 in the continent as Strathmore University takes position 3 and 42 in the continent.
The other best Kenyan universities that were ranked in Africa’s top institutions 100 are;
- University of Nairobi (Position taking 6
- Kenyatta University also in (Position 28)
- Strathmore University also in (Position 42)
- Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology taking (Position 49)
- Mount Kenya University in (Position 51)
- United States International University Africa in (Position 65)
- Egerton University taking (Position 81)
- Moi University in (Position 82)
- Methodist University in (Position 82)
For years now , the University of Nairobi (UoN) has maintained the top position in the country giving its graduates a distinct advantage in the job market.

The second position is taken by Kenyatta University (30 percent),then Moi University with (25.1 percent),followed by Jomo Kenyatta University (19.8 percent) then Egerton university with (18.3 percent).
The other learning Institutions include Maseno University with (18.1 percent),then Mount Kenya University with (11 percent), Technical University of Kenya with (10.2 percent), Masinde Muliro University with (6.9 percent) and lastly United States International University (USIU) with (6.2 percent) which close the top 10 list of best Universities in Kenya.
