KNEC Updates Collection of 2023 KCPE & KCSE Certificates

The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has now directed all students who sat for the 2022/ 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) to start  collection of certificates from their respective schools.

According to KNEC update that was released on Saturday,the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates were also urged also do collection of  their result slip certificates.

The examination council has said that all the 2022 KCPE certificates and 2023 KCSE result slips have been sent to all schools that presented candidates for the examinations period.

The notice indicated that all the parents and candidates or guardians are now   encouraged to visit their schools and collect the documents.

KNEC directed institutions and candidates to use the next 30 days to raise any grievances upon the issuance of the certificates.

It indicated that any queries from students about examination results or certificates must be made through the Heads of Schools and the Sub County Directors of Education.

 All those who will notice any errors ae required  to present appeal documents to reach KNEC not later than 30 days after the release of the examination results/certificates.

KNEC cautioned that those who will present their  queries after that Period shall attract a penalty.

In the year 2022 , there were a total of 1,230,588 candidates who sat for the 2022 KCPE examinations and all qualified for admission to Form One in line with the government’s 100 per cent transition policy.

In the recently released results for KCSE 2023 , there were a total of 899,453 learners who sat for the exams which is a two per cent increase from the number recorded in 2022.

In preparation  for the 2024 examination , the council kicked off registration for the Kenya Primary School Assessment (KPSEA) .

The exercise is expected to come to an end on March 29, 2024 as school heads are asked to comply as expected.

A directive from Knec indicate that the examination centres are expected to log onto a platform for specific examination upon which they will b  required to enter the candidates’ details using the school registration password.
