Nicole Nyamoita Scored B+ in KCSE Before Kisii Accident Tragedy

Nicole Nyamoita, a student  who died alongside her friend Ivy Kerubo in a terrible accident at Daraja-Moja along the Kisii Keroka Highway accident on Friday, January 26 had scored B+ in the recently  released KCSE examination.

Nicole was the Family’s only hope

According to citizen tv interview reports with the family , Nicole  was slated to join the university later this year after posting remarkable results in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination that was released this month.

The girl had  scored an overall mean grade of B+(plus) from Kisumu girls High School where she wrote her exams in November 2023.

The family said that the deceased was expected to elevate her family after showing impressive prospects in academics performance.

Nicole nyamoita and her friend Ivy  before Kisii accident were coming from the Kisii Ajiry Centre based at Kisii stadium where they have been attending computer lessons.

Some witnesses at the scene said that a pickup that was ferrying building materials failed in its brakes and landed on them at spot where they were negotiating  with a boda boda rider.

Repots indicate that Nicole passed on on the spot while her friend Ivy passed on while on her way to the hospital.

 Boda boda rider who was also involved in the accident sustained severe injuries and was admitted to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.

The police commander from Kisii Police station Charles Keses confirmed the accident.

The locals condemned the incident and called on the authorities to ensure proper refurbish of the road as the scene had become a black spot in the recent past.

The government Kisii county Honourable Governor Simba Arati, sent her condolences to the families while giving hint at upgrading the road.

At the same time , drivers and road users have been asked to be careful as they use the roads so as to control such incidents.
