Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) directed 2023 KCSE students to be keen in monitoring information concerning the application to various universities and colleges.
Kuccps is the only body tasked by the government to do placement of students in tertiary institutions.
The placement service has announced acknowledgement that it had yet to open the application portal for the students.
It clarified to students that once the portal is open, such information would be made public in the coming days through its official platforms.
All the KCSE 2023 students are urged to monitor KUCCPS online platforms for updates through www.kuccps.ac.ke.

Kuccps through part of its notice has promised that it will look forward to offering support in accessing courses in universities, colleges and TVET institutions
The placement service further acknowledged requests by potential applicants who claimed that it’s system was overwhelmed by delays during last year’s application process.
The above announcement from KUCCPS came hours after Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu released the 2023 results.
In the recently released 2023 KCSE results, a total of 201,133 posted a mean grade of C+ plus and above.
On the other hand, there were 92,612 students who posted grade C plain as another another 107,471 students scored C- (minus).
A total of 125, 006 students got Grade D+ while 155,276 c scored Grade D.
According to the Education Cs.Machogu,there were 165,861 students scored D- (minus) as another 48,174 students scoring E.
As of now, the students are waiting to know whether entry requirements to universities and colleges will change given following introduction of a new grading system was used for last year’s examinations.
On the same note, the CS Machogu had indicated that the new grading system was aimed at ensuring that most students secure their courses of choice at various tertiary institutions.
According to Machogu, the new grading form measure is likely to allow a larger number of students to pursue courses of their choice at the universities, Diploma and TVET training at Certificate and Artisan levels.
