Government Launches Hunt for 2023 KCSE Grade E students

The search for over 48,000 students who scored grade E in the 2023 recently released Kenya National  Examination ( KCSE) has now been launched by the government through the ministry of education.

The government has taken this initiative to ensure that all these learners are enrolled in Technical and Vocational Training Institutions (TVETs).

During his speech in Mombasa today, the the Education Ps Belio Kipsang said that all the low achievers including grade E learners in the KCSE 2023 examinations should transit to tertiary  institutions as well as technical and Vocational institutions to persue Vocational courses.

According to Belio Kipsang who met with educational stakeholders and the security  officers in the coastal region said that the government has good plans to for every 2023 KCSE  learner.

Kipsang said that the education ministry has shared with the interior and national security ministry on what is to be done .

The ps further said that the government is ready to solve the challenges that currently faced in schools are getting sorted since it is ready to supply teachers as well as infrastructure.

On the other hand , the education cabinet secretary Ezekiel Machogu indicated that the ministry is worried of the high number of grade E students in the country posted during release of kcse examinations.

Machogu expressed worry by the ministry saying that the 2023 examination were average for the learners were expected to score higher than the low grades.

It has now been resolved that the director of quality assurance will collaborate with the field officers dos as to track the record of students who Scored grade E .

The KCSE examinations for 2023 were done between October and November taking a duration of one month.

Marking of the national examination kicked off also most immediately ,.the process which ended smoothly.

2023 examination results were released early January 2024 to allow parents to plan for those who are going to join various institutions of higher learning.
