How to easily Download KCSE 2023  Exam Result Slip With New KNEC link

Following the release of the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates can now access their result slip on the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) portal.

In 2023, there were  899, 453 candidates who sat the 2023 KCSE examinations  as of this,  450,554 were male as 448,899 were female candidates.

The above number represents 50.09 per cent  for boys and 49.9 per cent for girls of the total candidature respectively.

How candidates can access KCSE 2023 result slip

Candidates willing to acquire results are required to log in to the KNEC portal or website through https://results.knec.ac.ke

Upon login in, one is required to enter their respective index numbers and names as per the 2023 registration details .

Click on submit to access the results upon confirmation of details.

You will be able to see  results will immediately.

The 2023 KCSE results were accessed differently with the council directing on the access if results online.

Also the knec  results were dispatched to sub county education officers for distribution to exam centres.

Previously , the ministry and knec had been using an SMS platform supported by mobile service providers to convey the results to the learners.

During the release of the 2023 results, Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang  announced the abolishment of the SMS system.

KCSE  examinations for 2023  commenced on October 23 and concluded on November 24, 2023.

The examination council also implemented the new grading system  in the 2023 KCSE.

the new grading system, it is only two mandatory subjects, Mathematics and one language (English, Kiswahili, or Kenyan Sign Language), which will be used to compute the mean grade.

In addition, the council  will be required to pick five of the best-performed subjects from a candidate, transitioning from the  previous grading system.

With the Previous 8-4-4 system , there were five mandatory subjects across three cluster groups  among them Mathematics, English, Kiswahili, two sciences and one humanity were used to calculate the mean grade.

The past grading system was perceived to disadvantage some learners whose best-performing subject were not considered incase they were not within the clusters.
